a falling star fell from your heart - Ylva - 4/22/2025 Skill: Herbalist 0/5. More of a little setup if anyone else is looking for the herbalist skill! This place was home, now. The thought had come to Ylva surprisingly quickly, following her reunion with both Brynhild and Solvi, but even that wasn’t unexpected. Her home would be anywhere they went, and this was far from an exception. Looking for herbs wasn’t an exception, either. She had stayed as close to Dawnbreak as she could, despite her remaining reservations about joining, because that’s where both of the wolves who meant so much to her were. The next step had been clear enough- she’d make her little makeshift den her own, for however long she’d stay in it, and this was the most tedious task. It wouldn’t be a bad task- just time consuming, mostly, in her search for anything that seemed familiar. The meadow was a good place to start, Ylva was sure. She had found herself nearby most of the time, anyways, and the comfort of Dawnbreak still being close was welcome, as well. And so was the splash of color the crimson flora brought, even if it had left her at a loss of what to look for first. Chamomile, she decided. It should be easy enough to find, even with the colors of the meadow. RE: a falling star fell from your heart - Aisling - 5/29/2025 ![]() SKILL : - - - ( 1 / 5 )
These days, Aisling didn't even need her mathair's prompting to rise with the sun. She was often already disentangled from the bodies of Fable and whichever sisters still denned with them before the others so much as roused. Morning was a special time, dew drops poised on grass blades like precious gems - gems so delicate that a whisper could shatter them.
The morning had been overcast on this day, however, and it might have put a pallor on the day for anyone else - but Aisling saw opportunity. While the land curled into dormancy for the day, content to let the rain take center stage in a lazy tempo, she pressed out into the open. She told Fable she would search for some herbs along the way, but she had already forgotten which one she'd asked for. Oh well! Rain dappled her coat as she trotted along beneath the gloomy sky, a hum to accent every pause of stride as she checked in with each flower and enticing clump of plant matter she hadn't noticed before. The world smelled different when it rained - it was like a cleanse, except what was washed away was replaced with new scents and notes for her to investigate. It was as she pursued a new trail that she noticed the other wolf. She was taller than herself - most were, really, given her age - but seemed to be composed of mist across mountain peaks. Aisling decided the woman was pretty and, upon investigation, smelled just enough like Dawnbreak that she was not perturbed by her presence. Hello!Aisling called ahead as she sauntered forward to bridge their distance. Her presentation was curious and open, ears tilted toward the stranger. D'ye need any help? She tried to mirror what her mother might have done in her place, and she'd seen her greet strangers and offer help. Aisling wasn't entirely sure what she could do for the older, grown wolf, but she was willing to try. |
