Raisa carried a fat young boar towards the family den, tail wagging. She'd never caught one before, and she thought
Benkei might like to try it with her, and
Cirilla if she'd never tried, either. It was a good excuse to sit them all down, not that she really needed one; she tried to bring home something for the growing boy daily, not to mention bond with her newfound family members and catch up on lost time. It was nice, feeling like a good sister, a good daughter, to just a... regular, happy little family, one where they spent casual time doing nothing in particular together, where they had meals and laughed.
It gave Raisa a glimpse into all that Rajani had stolen from her, keeping Cirilla a secret. It left her with a bitter taste in her mouth, and with a few final changes, she hoped to be rid of the ghosts that haunted her past. She was tired of keeping Sem'ya afloat when she'd reworked its very bones herself, tired of carrying on the Daillo legacy when she wasn't a part of it, and on top of it all, she wanted to make sure Cirilla and Benkei knew they were her family. They were important, trusted.
The striped young woman dipped her head into the den to see if they were there.
