If it had not been for the movement of Amaris, maybe she wouldn't have awoken. But, even her dream is evidence of why that isn't true. There had been a pull to the lake. It's waters are cold and silent, still even with the soft roar of the waterfall. Something was there. Whether or not this was reflected in reality too, well, they were surely going to find out.
