Submit a Star Discovery request


On The Vivarium and the world of Mythris, Star and Constellation Discovery is conducted through In Character events. Characters can discover stars and map constellations in their posts and submit them for discovery. With each successful discovery, the Vivarium staff will update the Star Guide in the Wiki with information on the star/constellation that was found.

To discover the star/constellation, there are a few criteria the thread must meet:
  • The thread must have clear posts finding and observing the constellation.
  • The thread must have the character describing the constellation and what it looks like.
  • The thread cannot just be a singular post of the character discovering the constellation. It must be IC-fueled. Ideally with another player!
  • Characters do not need to be star-savvy to discover a constellation! All it takes is seeing one and naming it! 

We ask those who submit a constellation to provide:
  • The name of the star/constellation
  • The season it is visible in
  • A brief description of what it looks like and if it has a meaning
  • If you'd like to provide a picture, please link it in your form.
  • This can be a helpful resource to create your own constellations should you like to try it out yourself!

    Once the star/constellation has been submitted for discovery, a member of staff will confirm the information provided and the constellation will be submitted to the Stars Guide.  Your Discovery will be marked with a reply stating, "Discovered! Added to Stars Guide" status. If there are any issues with your discovery, a member of staff will post a reply with "Pending! Reaching out."

Here is where you will submit your threads for review to earn skills for your characters! Please make sure you read the rules first so you know how earning points works.

In order to submit a thread for a skill, you will need to mark the top of each post for the character trying to earn said skill by using the code below:

You may submit for up to two skills in a single thread per character by mixing and matching, like marking two posts for Hunter and three for Seer.
