Things were, in fact, difficult. While it was easy for the middle child to fact, find sleep - remaining asleep throughout the course of the entire night? A fever dream.
And it wasn’t because he was afraid of everything out there, but more so because everything out there was just so loud that it woke him from his slumber, so much so that he often got up in the middle of the night to scream back at them.
Bork bork bork!
So when he heard the rumblings of his father, Raizel didn’t need much convincing to get up, after all. His blue eyes finding his father with the twitch of his nose and the thump of tail against the ground.
