Where on earth was he? Oberon slowly opened his eyes, blinking a few times to get rid of the haziness of his vision. The smell of fresh water hung in the air, brining him to a more vivid and present state of mind.
Guess the higher ups had pity on me.The male spoke with a somewhat grateful tone, though wasn't entirely happy about the situation. Couldn't they have just let him die in peace? Let him move on without the cares of the living world? No, he supposed there was more for him to do. But what? Hopefully that would be answered in time, though the snow bitten wolf wouldn't waste too much effort thinking on it.
Instead he got to his feet, feeling the stiffness in his muscles and joints as he rose. A quick inspection revealed that he was completely unharmed. No wounds of any kind, and no bruising or broken bones. Guess this was apart of the packaged deal. Oberon moved then to find the water source he had smelled only moments ago, the feeling of dryness now fully apparent in his throat. Luckily it didn't take long, as the river came into full view only a few minutes of walking. Oberon walked to the water's edge, bending down and placing his lips upon the cool liquid. Then took in as much as he could to quench his burning thirst. Then it would be time to decide where to go from here.
